This original oil painting was painted on fine belgian linen directly from life outdoors en plein air  in the rainforest of Clayoqout Sound. Our studio in Tofino provides this unique opportunity to work direct in this incredible land. I see this scene representing how close I can be to the subject - it is wonderful to forget about the subject and simply paint the colours present which create the experience. There is truth in these harmonies, I know because i was there , I saw it ....
